Selectmens Meetings & Workshops
Selectmens Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month at 7pm.
Selectmens Workshops are held every Monday at 7pm. Workshops allow the selectmen to discuss issues without making decisions. The time will also be used to review bills so that Warrants can be signed with less changes during the Selectmens Meetings.

About Us
The Town of Newburgh was incorporated in March 1819. It in the southwestern corner of Penobscot County.
We have the Open Town Meeting form of government where an annual town meeting is held the 2nd Saturday in March to conduct the business of the town. We have three Selectmen who serve as Tax Assessors and Overseers of the Poor and we have a Town Manager.
A municipal election is held the Tuesday before town meeting to elect the Selectmen and R.S.U.#22 Directors. The Planning Board members are elected at the town meeting and all other officers are appointed by the Town Manager.
Newburgh is part of RSU 22 and children attend schools in Hampden.
